Tranquility
In Tranquility, Simha explores various
watercolor techniques to convey the balance between chaos and tranquility. She
incorporates elements of Hindu culture to create a feeling of peacefulness
amidst a turbulent background of space and rushing water. The word “tranquil”
floats above the head of a four-armed woman depicted to be meditating,
indicating an inner calm despite the surrounding disorder. Her use of vibrant colors
against a dull background brings out the figures “inner peace”, and helps to
communicate the overall emotion.
